While working at Global News, I was tasked with making a video explainer about the rise of white supremacy in the United States alongside video journalist Emanuela Campanella and supervising producer Elizabeth Palmieri.

This was definitely a challenging video to create since it’s such a heavy and controversial topic. We decided to approach it with a grungy collage based on old propaganda.

My job was to design and animated the motion design part of the video explainer, which, of course, had to follow the Global News brand parameters.

At the end of spring, We were honoured to be Silver Winners in the 2020 Digital Publishing Awards in the category: Best Online Video: Feature.
